Bruce Kent Keck

Bruce Kent Keck, 59, passed away on Monday, June 05, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family, friends and his best pups.

Bruce was born on November 30, 1957 in Pottstown, PA to the late Hollis and Lois Keck, and was the youngest of 4 children. Bruce was a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the Medical University of SC, and was employed at MUSC at the time of his death. Bruce said he had a great life, he enjoyed life, he loved great food, traveling and making lifelong friends along the way. Bruce was an active member of Lowcountry Dog Agility where he and Ponce spent many wonderful hours together.

Bruce is survived by his spouse Douglas Beachum, his step-mother Velma Keck, his sister Nancy Marcus (Don) of Baltimore, MD, sister Carol Keck (David Rupley) of Tucson, AZ and brother, David (Karen) of Concord, NC. Bruce is also survived by nephews Joshua (Julie), Matthew (Freda) and niece Rachel Keck, all of Augusta, GA.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island Chapel.

The family will receive friends following the service.
