Dolores Strickland Blackburn

Dolores Strickland Blackburn, 85, widow of the late William (Bill) Blackburn, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, July 12, 2018.

Dolores was born on December 30, 1932 in Rome, GA and she lived the last 30 years in Summerville and Mt. Pleasant, to be near her children and her church family.
Dolores is survived by her son, Steve Blackburn of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Daughter, Gwen Blackburn of Lake Geneva, WI; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Smith of Columbia, SC; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Dolores was a proud and faithful member of Scots Kirk Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, July 20 at Scots Kirk Presbyterian Church, 1435 Old Trolley Road, Summerville, SC. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial to Immediately follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road in Columbia, SC. Dolores will be buried next to her beloved husband, Bill and deceased son, William Arron Blackburn III.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Scots Kirk Presbyterian Church.
