Eileen K. Strauch

Eileen Kathryn Strauch, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
She was born on February 1, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Andrew J. Walsh, Jr. and the late Regina Sandkuhler Walsh.
Eileen was a graduate of Seton High School of Baltimore, MD, a freelance writer, very passionate about singing in the church choir and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, sewing and writing which featured her published children’s book “Hey You, Sister Rose”. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 58 years, John H. Strauch, III, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, John A. Strauch (Joan), of Orlando, FL; daughter, Mary J. Aichholzer (Steve), of Twin Lakes, WI; four grandchildren, Kristen, Beth, Stephanie, and Brett; brothers, Richard Walsh, of Bel Air, MD, Andrew J. Walsh, III, of Bel Air, MD, and Edward B. Walsh, of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Jean Hoffherr, of Bel Air, MD; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents and brothers, Robert Walsh and Ronald Walsh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1122 Russell Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Inurnment will take place at Mepkin Abbey Columbarium, Moncks Corner, SC at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the National Fibromyalgia Association's, www.fmaware.org
