Gertrude Clauda Isgitt, 85, of Goose Creek , South Carolina, wife of George F. Isgitt, Sr. and retired healthcare worker went home to the Lord, Friday, October 27, 2017.
Mrs. Isgitt was born on February 18, 1932 in Canadys, South Carolina to the late Jacob and Myra Cannady. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed gardening and flowers.
In addition to her loving husband of 70 years, Mrs. Isgitt is survived by son, George Isgitt, Jr. (Gail); daughter, Sandra Demumbreum (Jim); sisters, Martha Cannady Brown and Earline Brown-May; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Perry Cannady.
The family will receive friends on October 31, 2017 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home - Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC, 29445. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
