Gordon Milton Shearer, 95, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
He was born on May 17, 1922 in Wheaton, IL, son of the late Hilda Hoch Shearer and the late Leslie Shearer.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Bette Roehl Shearer of Charleston, SC; children: Linda S. Burch (Tom), Gina S. Johnson (Tom), Jeffrey Shearer, Timothy Shearer (Elizabeth) and Michael Shearer (Jenny); 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
His funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
