Alice Faye Jones

Alice Faye Jones, 65, of Johns Island and widow of the late Donald Mitchell Jones, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at her home. Alice Faye Jones was born on February 4, 1951 in Kinston, NC to the late Thomas Earl Rouse and the late Irene Reynolds Eubanks Rouse. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. Survivors include her daughter, Angela R. Chandler of Charleston, and her son, Brian R. White (Christina) of Johns Island; 6 grandchildren, Daniel Cuda, Nevin Young, Cameron White, Koeper White, Victoria White and Zack White and 1 great-grandchild, Kora Cuda; 2 sisters, Selma Campbell of New Bern, NC, Sharon Irene Hudson of Charleston; and 2 brothers, Bratcher (Buddy) Wilson Taylor and George (Lil Buddy) Isley Taylor, both of Charleston, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by 1 sister, Brenda (Susie) Sue Honeycutt and 1 brother, James (Billy) Ellis Eubanks. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at McAlister-Smith, James Island Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 PM prior to the service.
