Ana Maria Gerena

April 17, 1935 — August 19, 2020

Ana Maria Ramìrez Gerena, born on April 17, 1935 in Lares, Puerto Rico, went home into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on August 19, 2020, peacefully in her sleep.
Throughout her life, Ana exemplified the life and love of Jesus Christ. Ana never knew a stranger. She was loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and tia to anyone who was blessed enough to have met her. She was a prayer warrior and played classical acoustic guitar throughout her life with her family and worship team. She was an avid cook of Puerto Rican & American fare.
Ana is survived by her mother Francesca Valle Ramìrez and her siblings Adalberto Ramìrez and spouse Aurea, Antonio Ramìrez and spouse Abigail, Aurea Morales and spouse Jose Luis, Alba Resto, and Angel Manuel Ramìrez and spouse Ruthy and many nieces and nephews.
Her children Myrna Doiron and spouse Dennis, Wanda Morris, Nelson Gerena and spouse Diane, Johansson Gerena and spouse Melissa, Walter Gerena and spouse Debbie, and Rex Garcia and spouse Raegan.
Her grandchildren Melissa Rozar and spouse Chris (Ana), Aimée Doiron, Crystal Murray and spouse Roger (William, Dakota, David, Andrea), Jon-Michael Nethercott and spouse Kathryn, Misty Goodale and spouse James (James, Savanna, Trent), Adam Gerena (Maci-Sullivan), Joshua Gerena and spouse Samantha (Leila, Elliot, Clayton), Justin Gerena, Jonathan Gerena, Hannah Gerena, Waylon Gerena and spouse Rebecca (August), Owen Gerena, Jesse Last, Austin Last (Jayden), Alyssa Gerena, Tony Vance (Kelsie, Anthony), Steven Vance and spouse Ashley (Coleman, Lawton, Dylan), Stephanie and Tiffany Fulton (Aaliyah, Jeremiah).
Ana is preceded in death by her father, Francisco Concepciòn Ramirez, and her son, Hugh Gerena.
