Barbara Jean Malecha (Jeter)

Barbara Jean Malecha, 74, of Cross, passed away March 22, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bristol, VA, she was the widow to the late Gerald Malecha. Barbara and her husband were the owners and operators of Jerry’s Heating and Air. She loved her dogs and going fishing with her family. She is survived by her son, Allen Lee Malecha of Miami, FL; two daughters, Cheryl Lynn Williams and husband Donald of Cross and Tracy Ann Powell and husband Mark of Donalds, SC; grandchildren, Joseph Powell, James Powell, Kaelan Malecha, Brandon Valbert, Jessica Bishop, Ashton Williams and Abigayle Williams. Barbara was predeceased by her grandmother, Alice Kaiser and grandson, Kyle Malecha. Graveside service will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation of South Carolina or MUSC Children’s Hospital.
