Brandon Michael Fisher

Brandon Michael Fisher, 18, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016. He was born on Monday, September 1, 1997, in Oceanside, CA, son of Wendy Cramer George and Gary Michael George. Brandon was a senior at Bishop England High School. He was an avid athlete, who had a strong love for baseball. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed bonfires with his friends and family. He was looking forward to going to the Citadel, and following in his dad’s steps to join the US Marine Corps, as a commissioned officer. His family will remember his bright smile and his wonderful sense of humor. Brandon is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arnold J. Zirkle and maternal grandfather, Richard T. Shipe. He is survived by his loving parents, Wendy Cramer George and Gary Michael George of Charleston, SC; sister, Stephanie Marie Fisher and brother, Dylan Michael George, both of Charleston, SC; his grandparents: Gayle Zirkle of WV, Katherine Shipe and David Cramer, both of FL.; and his godparents, Art and Pam Furtney of NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St Teresa Drive, Charleston, SC 29407, with Reverend Joseph Romanoski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop England High School Athletic Department, 363 Seven Farms Drive, Daniel Island, SC 29492, in memory of Brandon.
