Brenda Joyce Lupton

Brenda Joyce Lupton, 77, passed away peacefully and was surrounded by her loving family and friends at her home in Goose Creek on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

She was born December 18, 1943, in Sumter, SC and was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson Wells and her mother, Bertha Jane (Lynch) Wells. She was married for 52 years to her husband, James Thomas Lupton Jr. and they had 4 sons, Robby, Jeff, Tony and Chris.

She was an active member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Goose Creek, where she was faithful in service to her Lord and her church. She was a devoted follower of Christ and her faith was evident by the way she lived her life. She was Office Manager of the Goose Creek Gazette until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, James T. Lupton, Jr., 4 sons: Robert Lupton of Silver Springs, FL, Jeff (Donna) Lupton of Goose Creek, SC, Tony (Toni) Lupton of Sumter, SC and Chris (Michelle) Lupton of Goose Creek, SC. Brothers: Woody Wells II of Sumter, SC, Wesley Wells of Sumter, SC, Jerry Wells of Sumter, SC, Randy Wells of Blackville, SC and Terry Wells of Sumter, SC. Her grandchildren: Kelsey, Taylor, Jeffrey, Kayla, Jarrett, Meghan, Tyler, JT and Chase. Great grandchildren: Madison, Karson, Harper, Cooper, Jason, Harrison and Aj. She had many nieces, nephews and friends that were considered family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation - Goose Creek, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose, Creek, SC 29445.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 541 Red Bank Rd., Goose Creek, SC 29445 at 3:00 pm.
