Brenda Sue Ody (Jackson)

Mrs. Brenda Sue Ody, age 65, of Goose Creek, formerly of Awendaw, widow of the late Walter Everett Ody, Jr., passed away Monday, June 2, 2014. Brenda Ody was born on November 9, 1948 in Charleston, SC to the late Samuel Thomas Jackson and the late Sadie Summersett Jackson. Survivors include her sons, Walter Jay Ody (Susan) of Goose Creek and John William Ody (Susan) of Summerville; daughters, Susan Motis (Perry) of Seattle, WA and Jennifer Bowens (Clyde) of Easley, SC and she is also survived by six grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 6pm – 8pm at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Pleasant Chapel. Funeral services will held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00am, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, with burial immediately following at the Wilson Family Cemetery in Awendaw, SC.
