Brian Willard Bean

January 4, 1962 — October 31, 2021

Brian Willard Bean, of Mount Pleasant, entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2021. Brian was born in Charleston, SC on January 4, 1962 to the late Willam J. and Gene G. Bean Jr. and he grew up in his family's home on Sullivans Island.

He attended Wando High School and later Sea School, where he obtained his Captain's License. He worked as a Tugboat Captain in Charleston Harbor and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He finished his career self-employed and he and Jackie began Bean & Bean, Inc.

Brian never met a stranger and he was a friend to everyone he met. He was the 1st to offer help on any project, big or small and he loved helping family and friends. His favorite place on Earth was Disney World where he and Jackie visited many times including their honeymoon. They also enjoyed making trips to see the Gamecocks play(some more enjoyable than others). He loved to laugh and share stories and nothing was more important to him than Family.

Brian fought a 3 year battle with Cancer and he rarely complained and stayed strong till the very end. He was the best Husband, as many know, from waking Jackie with coffee and sending her to work with the lunch he packed and greeting her in the afternoons before cooking dinner. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Brian is survived by his wife for 19 years, Jackie Gladden Bean. His immediate family, Sister Deborah B.Cowart and Brothers William J. Bean III (Beth), Michael G. Bean, David A.
