Catherine Ruth Toma
May 6, 1923 — June 26, 2020
Catherine R. Toma, born on May 6, 1923, departed this world peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of ninety-seven due to the Corona-19 Virus. She led an energetic and active life raising seven children and reminded us, "age is a state of mind and you are as young as you feel."
Her interests included being an artist, traveling, crocheting, dancing and took a helicopter ride at the age of eighty-six. She loved the teachings of ministers Billy Graham and Charles Stanley.
She is survived by three sons: David of NC, Paul of GA, Thomas of AL, and two daughters: Vickie of SC and Bonnie of VA., and one grandson, David of FL. She is also survived by her two siblings, Billy Jennings and Margaret Cameron, both of Charleston.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James and two sons, Ervine and James Jr.
