Cecilia Ner Magtaas

Cecilia Ner Magtaas, 84, of Goose Creek, died peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2014, in Goose Creek, SC. Born in Naic, the province of Cavite, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Andres Ner and Maria Lorenzo Ner and wife to the late Rafael Magtaas. Cecilia enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to music, playing cards, arts and crafts. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Teresita M. (Ruben) Suzara, of Goose Creek; daughter-in-law, Pacita Magtaas, of the Philippines; grandchildren, Mylene Suzara, Joanne Suzara, Ruben Suzara (Monica), Ellen Magtaas; great grandchildren, Ruben Suzara and Riley Suzara. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and son, Cesar Magtaas. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 10:00 am.
