Charlotte J. Hutson (Johnston)

Johns Island – Charlotte J. Hutson, 83, of Johns Island and widow of the late Ernest L. Hutson, Sr., passed away Tuesday, July 07, 2015. Charlotte was born on November 26, 1931 in Charleston, SC. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. Survivors include her two sons, Ernest “Rocky” L. Hutson, Jr. (Barbara) and Ronnie Hutson, both of Johns Island; five granddaughters, two great-granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. In addition to her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by her son Wendell “Ricky” Hutson. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 10 AM to 11 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island Chapel with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Ft. Johnson Rd., Charleston, SC.
