Constance S. 'Connie' DeWitt

Constance 'Connie' S. DeWitt , age 64, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Moncks Corner, SC. She was the daughter of the late Adlore Clarambeau and Grace Clarambeau. Connie grew up in Flint, MI, and graduated from Hamady High School in 1968. She attended Hurley Nursing School in Flint, MI. She had a career as a finance specialist with various government contracts, and had recently retired from GDI. In high school she won a 'Miss Betty Crocker' contest, and her family enjoyed her creative meals. In her free time, Connie enjoyed crossword puzzles, trivia, cooking, fine wine, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, and a wonderful grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years: James DeWitt of Moncks Corner, SC; Two Daughters: Michelle Lynn E. Smith (Robert), of Summerville, SC; and Carrie E. Horstman (Steve), of Winter Haven, FL; One Step-Daughter: Amanda Speck (Mike) of Moncks Corner, SC; Two Sisters: Denise M. Clarambeau, and Deanna L. Williams, both of Moncks Corner, SC; One Brother: Barry W. Clarambeau (Rhonda) of CA, seven grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends and family at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home on Monday, June 30, 2014, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, with a memorial service at 1:00pm.
