Donald Mitchell 'Duck' Jones

Donald Mitchell Jones, 68, of Ravenel, SC, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born on Sunday, June 17, 1945, in Andrews, SC, to the late Lottie Roberts Jones and Robert E Jones. Donald served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a truck driver with Infinger Transportation and a member of Sauldam Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, taking care of his cats and spending time with his family and friends, Donald is survived by his wife of 26 years, Faye Rouse Jones of Ravenel, SC; one son, Brian White and his wife, Christina White, of Johns Island, SC; one daughter, Angela Chandler of Ravenel, SC; grandchildren: Daniel Cuda and his wife, Savannah Cuda, of TX Air Force Base, Cameron White of Charleston, and Donald's namesake, Koeper Mitchell White of Johns Island, SC; one great-granddaughter, Kora Cuda of NC; one brother, Robert Jones of Ravenel, SC; his twin sister, Sylvia Belcher and her husband, John Belcher, of Ravenel, SC; sister, Mary McCalister of Atlanta, GA; sister, Beatrice Weeks and her husband, Joseph, of Adams Run, SC; sister, Annie Mae Warren and her husband, Tom Warren, of Walterboro, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Donald was predeceased by his sister, Judy Perry. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6PM to 8PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414. A memorial service will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11AM with Reverend John Moore officiating.
