Dorothy K. Dailey, 98, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was born on Tuesday, August 21, 1917 in Louisville, KY to the late Mrs. Elsie Kammer and the late Mr. Robert Kammer. “Dots†was a graduate of Sacred Heart and attended the University of Louisville where she was an avid tennis player and met her first husband, Bob. She enjoyed tennis, horseback riding, birding, the symphony, jazz, dancing and spending time with her family. “Dots†was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, a board member of Gibbes Museum, a SCORE Volunteer, and a board member of the Lyric Opera Society of Chicago. She co-founded and served as president of Curd Enterprises, Inc. of Mt. Pleasant. She loved to travel and met her second husband, Bob Dailey, in Australia. Her family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah D. Herbert (Casey), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four sons, Robert F. Curd (Julie), of Winchester, VA, Dr. David W. Curd, of Tempe, AZ, Michael D. Curd (Ann Marie), of Green Lane, PA, and James L. Curd (Tara), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her first husband, Robert F. Curd Jr.; her second husband, LTC Robert Dailey; and one daughter, Carole J. Keenan. The family will have a Memorial Service at Franke at Seaside at the Rodenberg Chapel Thursday, April 7 at 10:30AM. “Dots†will be laid to rest by her family in the Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Water Missions International, 1605, 1150 Kinzer St, North Charleston, SC 29405.
