Dwight Lee England, 58, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2020.
Dwight was a son of the late Walker England, Jr and Della Cavitt England. He was born on March 7, 1962 in Mayfield, KY.
Our family lost a very kind gentle spirit. In his younger years, Dwight sang in gospel youth choir with his brothers, cousins, and childhood friends. He was a longtime member of Sutton Lane Church of Christ where he taught bible classes, preached God's word, and song leader.
He worked for the City of Mayfield for several years and after leaving there he retired from the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Youth Worker. Dwight had a passion for music with a guitar in hand and would sing any genre of music. A love for movies especially the superhero's our own 007 he enjoyed his electronics. He collected every sport card and comic magazine imaginable in his youth.
Later in life, Dwight played an integral part in watching and caring for his niece Nalaesia were he became her mentor. He moved to South Carolina later to spend more time with his mom, dad, and sister.
Dwight is survived by his loving mother Della England, four siblings, Stevie England of Mayfield, Kentucky, Mark (Jean) England of Glastonbury,CT, Richard (Mia) England of Fort Wayne,IN, and Susan England of Mount Pleasant,SC. He was also survived by his nieces & nephews, Tienne, Talia, Treshad, Noah Walker, Gabrielle, Eva, Shara, Richard, Jr, Ariah, Mark, Elizabeth, Elisha, and Nalaesia along with several host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
All services will be held privately at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dwight`s memory may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
