Eddie Lee Driggers

April 3, 1950 — February 27, 2018

Eddie Lee Driggers, 67, of Summerville, South Carolina passed away, Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was born on April 3, 1950 in Bennettsville, South Carolina to Ellerbe and Ira (Jones) Driggers. A three year veteran of the United States Army, Eddie served in Vietnam and went on to work for the VA Hospital. He enjoyed collecting knives and bird watching. He especially liked to watch the birds on the feeders in his yard, and taking walks at the duck pond close by his home. Most of all, those who knew Eddie will remember he had a very kind heart.

Survivors include his son, James Edward (Jamie) Driggers; grandson, Tylor Driggers; granddaughters, Ashley Driggers and Bridget Berry; sisters, Faye Nolan and Judy Dubberly; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellerbe and Ira; sister, Ruth Worrell; and brothers, Jasper Monroe Driggers and Billy Eugene Driggers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 9:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC, 29445. A Celebration of Life Service will follow immediately afterwards at 10:00AM in the same location. A burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
