Edgar Jewel Tumbleston

Edgar Jewel Tumbleston, 89, of Hollywod, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

Born on July 23, 1932 in Charleston, SC, Edgar was a son of the late Joe Tumbleston and Nettie Jennings Tumbleston.

Edgar enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a very outgoing man, with a bubbly personality. He never met a stranger. His family will remember Edgar as a wonderful father and grandfather, with a great sense of humor.

Edgar is survived by one daughter, Theresa Porchie (Kenny); three sons, Edgar M. Tumbleston (Ruby Anne), Vernon D. Tumbleston and Lester C. Tumbleston (Chrissy Willis). many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Tumbleston (Betty Jo); and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley.

Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens after the service at 2:15 PM.
