Edwin Wilkinson Hazzard, 83, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019.
Born on February 23, 1936 in Brewster, NY, Edwin was the son of the late Marjorie Wilkinson Hazzard and the late Herbert Edwin Hazzard.
Edwin was a devoted husband and father. He was an Electrical Engineer with IBM until his retirement. He was dedicated to his family and his church. He was a generous man, always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed golf, football and he loved his Italian food!
Edwin is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan Schoenfelder Hazzard.
Edwin is survived by his son, Edwin Hazzard, Jr. and wife Lorrie of Charleston, SC; his daughter, Jacqueline Holmes and husband Ron of Greeley, CO; six grandchildren: Stephanie, Dana, Anthony, Heather, Tiffany, Ryan; and one great-granddaughter, Audrey.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Timothy’s Anglican Catholic Church, 1900 Old Parsonage Road, Charleston, SC 29414. Following visitation, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, with inurnment at St. Timothy’s Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy’s Anglican Catholic Church, The American Heart Association or a charity of your choosing.
