Elaine M. Moore, 76, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 24, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine was born October 29, 1943 in Waycross, GA, daughter of the late Crawford Meeks and the late Jewell Seymore Meeks. As a former long-time resident of Venice FL, she was an optician in a private practice and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Melvin Edwin Moore, Jr. (Debra) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Jeffrey Scott Moore (Claiborne) of Purcellville, VA; a brother, William Meeks (Marilyn) of Augusta, GA; a sister, Gloria Lindsay of Savannah, GA; granddaughter, Madelyn Moore; a grandson, Crawford Moore. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Charles Lindsay.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 3 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home- Mt. Pleasant, 1520 Rifle Range Rd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
The burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Waycross, GA under the direction of Music Funeral Home.
