Emilia Combis Samonte

Emilia Combis Samonte, 65, of Goose Creek, died Monday, December 21, 2015. Born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She was the daughter of the late Juan Capillan Combis and Carolina Viloria Combis and wife to Amado Manglinong Torres ( deceased ) and Benjamin Samonte. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking , traveling and most of all being with her family specially in the Philippines and friends. Mrs. Samonte was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goose Creek, S.C., USA . She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Samonte of Goose Creek; sons, Rex Torres and wife Maria Edna Torres ( Jacob Andwew Torres - son )of Goose Creek,S.C. USA , Michael Torres and wife Nemia Torres ( Gwendelyn Mitchell Torres - daughter )of the Philippines and Ryan Torres of the Philippines; daughter, Marijoy Torres Tiu & husband Emmanuel Tiu ( Vincent, Nash , and Lance - children's ) of the Philippines; step-sons, Cyril Samonte of Hanahan and Byron Simonte of Mount Pleasant. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Goose Creek. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 3, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
