Etta Rebecca Roosa

Etta Rebecca Roosa, 91, of Charleston, SC and Kingston, NY entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was born on Sunday, May 31, 1925 in New Milford, CT to the late Mrs. Mabel Elizabeth Atkins and the late Mr. Charles S. Atkins. She loved gardening, fishing during her many years of wintering in Key West but her biggest joy was having friends and family around her. She is survived by her loving daughter Kittie Lee Troiano (Claude Troiano), of Queensbury, NY and Jeri A Oates ( Christopher P. Aird)of Charleston, SC. two grandchildren, Claude Troiano of Lake George, NY, Jason S Oates (Liz) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, three great grandchildren Elizabeth Sullivan of Kingston, NY, Nate and Jackson Oates of Mt Pleasant, SC and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her loving parents, spouse of 65 years, Alden H. Roosa; one grandchild, Kimberly Brooks and one sister, Anna 'Kitty' Ellsworth, of Port Ewen, NY. There will be a private service held in the Spring in NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Road, Kingston, NY 12401.
