Evelyn L. Ward from Williamsport, PA passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018, after being diagnosed in the hospital with late stage lymphoma.
Born February 21, 1953 in Williamsport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Viola Hatfield Klaras and the late Richard Killinger.
She married her best friend and love, Jack A. Ward, in March of 1977 who preceded her in death in 2015. Her Aunt & Uncle, Barbara & Walter Gallagher of Jersey Shore, PA raised her from the time she was young girl. Evelyn graduated Jersey Shore High School in 1971. Over the years, she pursued different careers while raising her family. She retired from Merck Pharmaceutical in March 2018, and relocated to Charleston, SC. Evelyn was a dedicated wife and mother foremost. She was a caregiver extraordinaire. Her closest family members referred to her as “Sis”, and she was a dear friend to many. She enjoyed rockin’ n rollin’ to music while cooking with her son. Her other interests included a love for her daily horoscope, the outdoors, pets and plants of all varieties. In past few years, she found enjoyment traveling with her daughter.
Surviving are her beloved children, Bobbie Jo, of James Island, SC, Keith of Johns Island, SC; brother, Richard Killinger of Johns Island, SC; Father & Mother In Law , Amos & Martha Waltz Ward of Williamsport; and sister in law, Darlene Ward Wolfe of Williamsport.
Family & Friends will be invited to a Celebration of Life in February 2019, in Williamsport, PA.
