George Frederick Day Jr.

George Frederick Day Jr., 87, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 25, 2016. He was born on Friday, March 15, 1929 in St. Louis, MO to the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Day and the late Mr. George Frederick Day, Sr. George served in the US Navy and US Air Force, he graduated with a business degree in Computer Programming and worked at Sierra Research for over twenty-two years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working, camping and fishing. George was a true inspiration to his family and friends, he met each day with a smile and dearly loved his daughters. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He is survived by three loving daughters, Kim Elizabeth Day, of Tonawanda, NY, Judy Hetlage (Kennon), of Davie, FL, and Tracy Jeffords (Herb), of Summerville, SC; ten grandchildren, Alison, Eric, Ryan (Laura), Nate (Jessica), Bryson, Kelly, Tori, Sara, Holly and Andrew; ten great grandchildren, Brent, Gage, Cade, Logan, Lucas, Madelyn, Marek, Tripp and Evan; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his loving parents, his wife of 63 years, Marilynn F. Day; brother, Frank T. Day. A Graveside Service will be held at the US National Cemetery, Beaufort South Carolina at a later date.
