Glenn Russell 'Jay' Lang Jr.

Glenn “Jay” Russell Lang Jr., 30, of Summerville, SC passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. He was born on Wednesday, February 26, 1986 in Bay City, MI to Yong Suk Kim Lang and Glenn Russell Lang, Sr. Jay graduated from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, AL in 2004, and continued his education at the Citadel and Jacksonville State University before earning numerous IT Certifications. Employed at Internetwork Engineering, Jay pursued his passion as a Network Engineer and lived life to the fullest with interests in photography, shark fishing, traveling, watching Alabama football, and all things outdoors. Jay brought joy to all who knew him. As an owner of NewSpring Church, Jay loved the Lord and serving Him. Jay is survived by his loving wife of two years, Julianne Moffatt Lang of Summerville, SC and their daughter, Valerie Bell Lang, due in January, 2017, and fur babies, Ella and Taco; his parents: Yong Suk and Glenn Russell Lang, Sr. of Jacksonville, AL; brother, Michael Lang and his wife, Dianne, of Charleston, SC; sister, Kathy Lang of Charleston, SC; nieces and nephews: Connor Lang, and Kimberly and Justin McGee; and parents-in-law: Tim and Sherri Moffatt. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 269 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
