Mrs. Hui Yang , 40, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Monday, September 1, 2014 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on Monday, February 18, 1974 in Miluo, Hunan Province, People's Republic of China. Hui graduated from Hunan Normal University, received her Master's Degree from Vanderbilt University, and obtained her PhD. in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She is survived by her loving husband; Mr. Gan Deng and beautiful daughter, Eva Deng of Mount Pleasant, SC, father, Mr. Jianjun Yang and mother, Ying Qin of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She attended the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Charleston. She is best remembered for her passion to help others. Everyone who knows her, are touched by her generosity and thoughtfulness. She bore a great witness of her faith during her battle with her illness and encouraged her brothers and sisters in Christ immensely. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 am in the chapel at Citadel Square Baptist Church, 328 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401. The family will receive friends prior to service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted toMcALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1520 RIFLE RANGE RD., MT PLEASANT, SC (843) 884-3833.
