Irene VanSleet Gunnels

Irene VanSleet Gunnels, age 86, of Charleston and formerly of Walterboro, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Milford Lee Gunnels, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Mona Horton and her husband Roger of Charleston and one grandson, Tyler Horton of Charleston. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Live Oak Cemetery in Walterboro.
