James Allen Ray

James "Jim" A Ray 67, of Goose Creek, SC passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

Jim was born January 19, 1954 in Independence, MO to Daniel and Lois Ray of Buckner, MO.

Jim was an Air Force veteran of 24 years and a 1972 graduate of Fort Osage High School. Jim enjoyed wood working and building things around the house.

Jim is predeceased by father Daniel and Grandparents Seth and Alta Ray and Mae Carter.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Salee, two stepsons, Sam Hanakee (Jennifer) of Goose Creek, Wisit Hanakee of Suratanee, Thailand, mother, Lois Ray brother Michael Ray (Maylinda) of Exelsior Springs, MO, sister Kimberly Goodman (Rich) of Rochester NY, grandson Ty Hanakee of Goose Creek, numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 29th, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:00am at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Chapel, 869 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC. Following the visitation, there will be a Graveside Service held at 1:00pm at the Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC.
