Jason Michael Brownewell, 51, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband to Carrie Brownewell of 18 years, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 18, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Born on October 22, 1970 in Passaic, New Jersey, Jason was a son of Ralph George Brownewell and Linda Marie (Shea) Brownewell.
Jason attended High School at the Charlotte Catholic School in Charlotte, North Carolina; he later went to college UNC Charlotte where he earned a bachelors degree in political science. Jason worked as an Insurance Agent for State Farm Insurance Company. Jason was a great man who will be remembered as a great son, husband, father, brother, uncle, godson and friend to so many. Such so that even his mother in law loved him. Jason enjoyed cooking, eating, movies and super heroes. Jason will be remembered for his loving heart and most of all his sense of humor.
Jason is preceded in death by numerous members of his extended family. In addition to his wife, Jason is survived by his children, Reagan Brownewell, Isaac Brownewell and Harrison Brownewell all of Mount Pleasant; his parents, Ralph and Linda Brownewell of Mooresville, North Carolina; his sister, Danielle Brownewell of Mooresville, North Carolina; his brothers, Ralph William Brownewell and his wife, Amy of Charleston and Brian Brownewell and his wife, Courtney of Mooresville; his mother in law, Donna Blish of James Island, SC; nieces, Marlowe, Charlie Anne and Mary; his nephews, Calvin, Luke, Trey and Emmett.
A gathering of Jason's family and friends for a time of reflection will be at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation Center, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Services for Jason will be at 6:00 P.M. following the visitation at the funeral home.
