Joan D. Solesbee (DeAntonio)

Joan D. Solesbee, 69, formerly of Mt. Pleasant and Sullivan’s Island, SC died on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was born February 1, 1947 in Charleston, SC to the late Mrs. Carolyn Dorothy Hurt DeAntonio and the late Mr. Joseph Anthony DeAntonio, Sr. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was of the Catholic faith and graduated from Bishop England High School. She is survived by her loving husband, Tony Martin Solesbee, of Lyman, SC; children, Cheryl Leigh Solesbee (Diana), of Mt. Pleasant, SC, John Joseph Solesbee (Lisa), of Spartanburg, SC, and Deborah Michelle Solesbee, of Lyman, SC; 4 grandchildren, Bradley Easler, Madelyn Solesbee, Kirstin Bowden, and Brandon Bowden; Sisters, Carol DeAntonio Meade (Dick) and June DeAntonio Blanchard (Gene); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Joseph and George DeAntonio; sister, Patricia DeAntonio Zorn; nephew, William “Billy” Zorn; brother-in-law, Theodore Zorn. A Memorial Service will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
