Joseph Michael Murphy

Joseph M. Murphy, 76, of Goose Creek, passed away July 10, 2014. Born in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late John C. and Agnes Carroll Murphy and husband to the late Sharon Murphy. Mr. Murphy worked for Johnson Metal Hose and retired as the building superintendant at Trinity Apartments. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his two sons, Jim Murphy of Goose Creek and John Murphy and wife Wanda of Goose Creek; daughter, Mary Spears of Connecticut; brother, James Murphy of Connecticut; grandchildren, Daniel, Lauren, Matthew, Tatum, Morgan and James; great grandchildren, Eli, Hailey and Ainsley. Mr. Murphy was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Murphy. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Carolina Memorial Gardens, North Charleston.
