Joseph Richard Parrinello

Joseph Richard Parrinello, age 91, passed away December 11, 2014. He was born October 1, 1923 in Rochester, NY to the late Joseph and Francesca Parrinello. He graduated from Thomas Edison Tech and the enlisted in the Army Aircorp and served in World War II. Joe later transferred to the United States Air Force and served during Korea and Vietnam wars. He met his wife, Margaret, in England and got married in 1957. On March 1, 1971, after 28 years of service, he retired and his family relocated to South Carolina. Joe had a passion for “Old West” and collected memorabilia, guns, and clothing. His family remembers him loving his banana splits and listening to political radio shows during his “private” time. He will be missed dearly by his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. Guiseppe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; two daughters, Joette Parrinello and Lisa Bailey (Tim) of San Antonio TX; son, Stephen Parrinello (Suzie) of Summerville; one brother, Tony Parrinello (Connie) of Rochester, NY; one sister, Mary Desinger of Dunnelon, FL; four grandchildren, Garreth, Joshua, Tanner, and Zach; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is predeceased by his brothers, Jim Parrinello, Sam Parrinello, Antonio Parrinello, Andy Parrinello and Alfonso Parrinello; one sister, Florence Constable. The visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2014, 5:00 until 7:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home Goose Creek. The funeral service is to be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors at 2:00 p.m..
