Joseph Ronnie Parker

Joseph Ronnie Parker, 76, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. He was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1939 in Sylvania, GA, son of the late Jacqueline Jenkins Parker and the late Ira Parker. Ronnie is survived by three daughters: Debra Reno of Summerville, SC; Sherri Weaver and her husband, Derrick, of Summerville, SC and Rebecca Parker of Summerville, SC; three sons: Michael Parker and his wife, Kim Brinson, of Summerville, SC; Gerald Parker and his wife, Darlene, of Omaha, NE and Mark Parker and his wife, Denise, of Goose Creek, SC; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers: James Parker and his wife, Mary, of James Island, SC and Roy Rogers and his wife, Rae, of KY; one sister, Jackie Adamson of Charleston, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 19, 2016 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel, with Pastor Jerome Shepard officiating.
