Judy H. Garcia (Hutson)

Judy Hutson Garcia, 63, of Charleston, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016. Judy Garcia was born on May 15, 1953 in Charleston, SC to the late Raymond and Jeanette Hutson. She worked as a housekeeper for over 40 years. Her grandsons were her world. She was strong and a fighter with her illness. She collected lighthouses for many years and had a large collection. She also enjoyed music, both country and pop. Her family will remember her as a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughters, Cassie Gail Wilson, of Charleston and Angela Faith Rose of Georgia; grandsons, Ruben Perez, Jr. and Caleb Baker Perez, both of Charleston; her sister, Maxine H. Curry of Charleston, her brothers, Ronald V. Hutson and Harold C. Hutson, both of Charleston, and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Dana Denise Davis and her brother, Rodney Glenn Hutson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service until 7 PM.
