Karen Ann Eskew, 59, of Villanova, PA, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She was born on November 9, 1954 in Darby, PA. Karen was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and obtained her master’s degree at the University of Notre Dame, in Notre Dame, Indiana. She truly embraced life, enjoyed the outdoors, sunsets and the beach. She provided a loving home to many different animals throughout her lifetime. Karen enjoyed all aspects of life, including travelling throughout Europe or having a nice dinner downtown with friends. She worked with Northrop Grumman as a Manager within the Technical Services Group for almost ten years. Her family remembers her as always smiling, having a great sense of humor and being strong and independent. She is survived by two children; Lauren Eskew, of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Brian Eskew, of Washington, DC, and her parents, Anna Kruse and Conrad E. Kruse of Villanova, PA. She was predeceased by her brother, Conrad F. Kruse. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 2 to 5 PM at the Eskew residence. A Funeral Service will be held in Villanova, PA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464, or the Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K St NW #500, Washington, DC 20005.
