Karen Phyllis Buchanan

Karen Phyllis Buchanan, 71, of Goose Creek, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2021, with her daughter Tami at her side.
Born on September 07, 1949 in Gastonia, Karen was a daughter of the late Winford Pendleton Buchanan and Jewell Marie Buchanan as well as her brother Robert Frank Buchanan.
Karen, accomplished so many things in her 71 years. She entered the Army at 19 during the Vietnam War. She was the second graduating class of Women State Troopers in South Carolina.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Tami (Wesley), her grandchildren Halie and Daniel Tumbleston her bonus grandchildren Dalton and Austin Ellington, her brother's Nathan Buchanan (Yvette), Winford Jr. Buchanan as well as her nieces and nephews Rob, Aubree, Diane, Nathan and Jason Buchanan.
There will be a graveside service held at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11 AM .
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karen`s memory may be sent to the SPCA. Karen loved animals and never was without one in her lifetime.
