Born on April 8, 1948 in Charleston, SC, Lamar was the son of the late Effie Seagraves Prosser and Lamar C Prosser, Sr.
Lamar graduated from Newberry College, where he played football. He worked in the IT department in the medical field.
Besides his parents, Lamar was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Prosser.
Lamar is survived by his wife, Lorraine "Lonnie" Eldridge-Prosser; sisters, Rebecca Hartzog and Katherine Bass; nephews, Sean Kennedy and Troy Bass; aunt, Ruby Abrahms and many cousins.
