Laura P. Renneker

Laura P. Renneker, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 27, 2017.

She was born on July 19, 1922 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late John Richards and Annie B Plowden.

Laura and her family moved to Orangeburg SC where she attended high school, and then moving to Mt Pleasant upon her graduation. In 1943 she married the love of her life and shared 73 wonderful years. She volunteered and attended the Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Church. She played bridge and loved any kind of handwork and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her overwhelming love for her children, family and friends. Her home was always open and kitchen was always full.

She is survived by her four children, Ike Renneker, of Edisto Island, SC, Jim Renneker, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Anne Renneker (Fred Jaeger), of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and John Renneker, of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Ben Jaeger, Lucy Renneker and James Renneker; and brother, J. Richards (Dick) Plowden, of Phoenix, AZ; special friends Beth and Larry Colley

She was preceded in death by her parents,and loving husband of 73 years Clarence A. Renneker, Jr.; and sister, Anne Houghton

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Sunnyside "Orangeburg" Cemetery, in Orangeburg, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Mt. Plerasant Presbyterian Church and the Association for the Blind.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her longtime caregivers on green at the Mt Pleasant Manor for their love and care of Laura.
