Lenore Ann Pierson, 79, of Isle Of Palms , South Carolina entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on , March 15, 2017
She was born on July 19, 1937 in Rye, New York to the late Leonard Herbst and the late Mary Flanagan Herbst.
Lenore was a graduate of the State University of New York, a trusted buyer for Macy's in New York City, and an owner of a Hallmark Card Shop in Altoona, PA. She enjoyed traveling the world, entertaining family and friends, home decorating and was an avid reader. Most of all, Lenore adored caring for her beloved Golden Retrievers and fostering those less fortunate. She was an enthusiastic and active member of the Wild Dunes community, serving on several committees and planning groups. All who knew her will never forget her engaging smile, her razor-sharp wit, or how dedicated she was to those she loved.
Lenore will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Lawrence Pierson; sister, Honor E. McClellan; son, Scott Provost; grandson, Zachary Provost; nieces, Lauri Sugar and Wendy McClellan; grand nieces and nephews Brian and Savannah Sugar, Elysa and James Grillo.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; sister, Susan M. Herbst; and grandniece, Sabrina Sugar.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 3:00 PM for a service at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
The Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at the Wild Dunes Clubhouse.
