Lynn McGraw Cavendish Jr.

Lynn McGraw Cavendish, Jr, of Mt Pleasant, SC, formerly of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side on September 8, 2016 at their residence. He was born January 24, 1949 in Charleston, WV to the late Barbara Clay Cavendish and the late Lynn McGraw Cavendish, Sr (Capt., USN, Ret.). Lynn graduated from the University of West Virginia and did graduate studies at the University of South Carolina. He worked as a Procurement Contracting Officer for the Department of the United States Navy in the Washington, DC area for 33 years retiring in 2007. He enjoyed the numerous biking paths that surrounded the Virginia and Washington area. Lynn was predeceased by his parents and sister Frances Dorman. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Robin E. Cavendish of Mt. Pleasant, SC, nephew Justin K. Dorman of Charleston, SC who gave much love and support to his Uncle Lynn, nieces Kalani Still of AK, and Melissa Chaisson of MS. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Gary Dorman of Kodiak, AK, sister-in-law Barbara Kenney and family of Dallas, TX and numerous family members in WV. A Memorial Service will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:00 am. Inurnment private.
