Margaret Elizabeth 'Maggie' Fosberry

Margaret Elizabeth (Clardy) Fosberry, 84, of Charleston, died Friday, April 3, 2015. Maggie was born February 17, 1931 in Muskogee, OK, to the late Robert C. and Margaret (Chappell) Clardy. She graduated from Memminger High School for girls and attended Winthrop College. She was married to John “Joe” Fosberry, Jr. for 49 years. She retired after 30 years from Carolina Water Services and then worked with her husband Joe in their business, Lowcountry Catering for many years. She later became an administrative assistant for McAlister-Smith since 1999. She was a long-time member of Christ Our King Catholic Church. She was previously very active volunteering with the Society of St Vincent de Paul and a member of OLOPS. Maggie will be deeply missed by family including her three sons, John J. Fosberry, III of Charleston, Timothy M. Fosberry of Mt Pleasant, Wm. Patrick 'Paddy' Fosberry, of Charleston, and daughter-in-law, Tonya Parker Fosberry of Isle of Palms, six grandchildren; Michael, Kelly, Parker, Joseph, Maggie, and Patrick, one great grandson, Milo, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Joe, she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ann and son, Robert. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 6:00 until 8:00PM, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Rd. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held 10:30AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Christ Our King Catholic Church with interment to follow at Mt Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
