Marianne Hope Barrows (Bryant)

Marianne Hope Bryant Elgradawy Barrows, 46, of James Island, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her residence. Marianne was born June 26, 1968 in Charleston to Juanita Youmans Bryant of James Island and the late John “Jack” B. Bryant. Marianne graduated from Porter Gaud High School. She worked in the Charleston Market and loved anything local, being outside and her pets. Her family remembers her as a wonderful daughter and mother. She was selfless and always put her family before herself. She never knew a stranger, loved meeting new people, and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include her mother, Juanita Youmans Bryant of James Island, 3 children; Sarah Elgradawy of James Island, Samy Elgradawy and Hannah Elgradawy, both of Charleston, SC. 2 brothers; John Burts Bryant of Nashville, TN and Michael Eric Bryant and his wife Yulia of Russia, and a number of nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at 7 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 347 Folly Road, James Island.
