Mary Frances Fischer (Duc)

Mary Frances Fischer, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Monday, September 22, 2014. She was born on Tuesday, May 18, 1926 in Charleston, to the late Edmund Saint Julian Duc and the late Florence Doran Duc. Mary was devoted to Christ Our King Catholic Church for over 46 years. In the founding years of the parish she served at many school and church functions. Mary was very passionate about living and sharing her faith with others. She was a prayer warrior for her church, family and Charleston community. Her family remembers her as a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Mary is survived by one daughter, Patricia E. Haigler of Charleston; three sons, Raymond E. Fischer and his wife Lori, Michael J. Fischer and his wife Mary, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Paul J. Fischer and his wife Nancy of Daniel Island; six grandchildren, Ryan Haigler of New Orleans, LA, Brittany Fischer of Mt. Pleasant, Jon-Morgan Fischer of Myrtle Beach, Sybil Fischer of Mt. Pleasant, Alex Fischer and Anderson Fischer both of Daniel Island. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry 'Hank' Fischer, her daughter, Phyllis Ann Fischer, and a grandson, Jason David Haigler. Family and friends will gather between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm Thursday, September 25, 2014 at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL where the Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 26, 2014 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2090 Executive Hall Rd, Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407 or Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mt.
