Naomi Chovine Ray (White)

Naomi Chovine Ray, 61, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015. She was born on Friday, November 12, 1954, in Charleston, SC, a daughter the late Naomi Mouzon White and the late Joseph White. Naomi lived a simple, laid back, life. She enjoyed relaxing on a sunny day with a cup of coffee. Naomi also took pride in taking care of her loved ones - she always put others before herself. She was an excellent cook and really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Along with her parents, Chovine is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ray. She is survived by her children, Catherine, and her future husband, Daltaon, and Joseph Ray; three stepchildren: Lisa, Kevin and Eddie Ray; one brother, Joseph White; two sisters: Sonya Corley and her husband, Lindey, and Denise McCracken and her husband, Hoss; and one expected grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Old St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2604 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
