Patricia Ethel Doniphan, 81, of James Island, passed away September 20, 2017.
Born in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Hoppmann and wife to Raymond Doniphan. Patsy is a member of St. James Church. Her joy in life came from her family and the pride she had in her home. Patsy loved decorating her house, working in her yard and shopping.
She is survived by her husband of sixty five years, Raymond Doniphan; children, Sherry Doniphan and Larry Doniphan, both of James Island; granddaughter, Erin Cooley and husband Brent of West Ashley; great grandchildren, Corbin and Violet Cooley.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MUSC Children's Hospital Fund, 59 Bee Street, MSC 201, Charleston, SC 29425 or Alzheimer's Association, 2411 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29414.
