Richard Alan Stainbrook

December 3, 1939 — May 17, 2014

Richard Alan Stainbrook, 74, of Goose Creek, passed away May 17, 2014. Born in Meadville, PA, he was the son of the late Augustus Stainbrook and Mayme Marovich Gracenin. Richard served his country in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. After his military service, he worked as a long haul truck driver, worked for Whirlpool and was a supervisor at UPS. He liked to collect Christmas ornaments, decorations and sports memorabilia. Dick loved to play golf and was a member of the American Legion in Florida. He is survived by his two daughters, Shelly Stainbrook-Rote and Tracy Stainbrook Coursey, both of Pennsylvania; half brother, Charles Gracenin of Pennsylvania; two aunts, Helen Blazevich of Pennsylvania and Marian Marovich of Florida; cousins, Kay Adams and husband David of Goose Creek, Becky Zahn of Arizona, Dorothy Murray of Arizona, Bruce and Cathi Kosanovic of California, Anna Elmen of Pennsylvania, Dennis Trbovich of Florida; nephew, Michael Stainbrook of Maryland; friends, Cole and Dale of Washington, Nancy of Florida and Valerie of New York. Dick is also survived by many extended family members, friends in Florida and his two furry friends, “Sadie” and “Mickey”. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. David Handshoe, Dr. Jeffrey Santi and Dr. Bellil for the care and compassion showed to Dick.
