Richard J Bellemare, 80, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
He was born on October 29, 1938 in Goffstown, NH, son of Agnes Doucette and William Bellemare.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Bellemare of Goose Creek, SC; children: Douglas (Mary) Bellemare of Jacksonville, FL; Sharon (Greg) Wrona of Summerville, SC and Michelle Bellemare of Goose Creek, SC; six grandchildren: Sarah (Joe) Giacomelli, Madeline Bellemare, Rosemary Bellemare, Ashley (John) Murrian, Bradley Wrona and Kayla Adams; two great-grandsons, Kaison Powell and Roman Murrian; and was looking forward to meeting his first great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters: Jeanette, Roberta, Joan and his brother, Charles.
Richard was proud of his 30 years of service in the Navy, but his family was his greatest accomplishment. Richard earned a Master of Arts in Business Administration from Webster University.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Fleet Reserve Association Low Country, 99 Wisteria Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
